Humble Beginnings

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

If you read our last post, then you know Michael, Douglas, and I have chosen to no longer continue music under the moniker of Stich. We are forming a new 5 piece alternative metal project, and still searching for a bass player. If your interested, hit up altmetalproject.com.

Well ten years is a long time and during which, I personally, had some of the best moments of my life. Mike and I began playing music together when we were 11 years old, and almost 15 years later, we continue to do so. This band has been more then just music, it has been an almost tangible aspect of my life and I have a great appreciation for that. The members of this band are apart of my family, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Anyway, if you’re interested in seeing part of Stich’s humbled beginning, visit the Wayback Machine and search for “stich.tk”.

Stich No More.

Monday, January 18th, 2010

After much discussion between the three of us, Patrik, Douglas, and I have decided to no longer go under the moniker of Stich. We’ve decided that the music that we have recently written, though still in the alternative metal genre, is of a different entity. It goes without saying that Kevin was a big part of Stich’s sound and identity and it makes sense to us to end Stich at the point of Kevin’s departure. That being said, as noted previously, the three of us will continue to perform and make music as a band. We’ve also included second guitarist Nikko Gallardo to the line up and are still looking for a bass player to fill in the final slot. As soon as we get a new identity we will inform you of the new websites to go to. For now if there is any dire news we will inform you through the normal outlets. All of us are very excited about the new music we have written and heavily believe that Stich fans will enjoy this new evolution of our musical sound. Thank you for being with us through this stage of our lives and we hope that you will continue to support us through this new venture. Without you Stich would not have been what it was. Here’s to ten years of awesome.

Here and now we start anew. Be ready for it because we will be.

Kevin’s Last Show

Friday, May 8th, 2009

Kevin’s last show will be next Saturday (May 16th) at the Spillway. Kevin is parting ways with Stich to pursue other passions in life, and we wish him nothing but the best. We are losing a huge piece of the puzzle, but as Stich has done for the past 8 years, we will persevere and move forward.

We will begin our search for the missing piece shortly, but first we want to have one last kick-ass show with Kevin.  Though if you ,or someone you know is interested in trying out for the Bass position, please contact us directly at stich@stichmusic.com.
